Duties

We Grow Food, 9286071 Canada Association works out of the Durham Region area to provide education on how to grow food, gain control on access to fresh foods, and how to build and grow gardens. We currently work with Schools and Nonprofit House Communites so the work is more on the physical side. The shifts are about 3-4 hours long and range all over the Durham Region.

Please be advised that because we work within schools and vulnerable communities, we do require you to get a police record check. There will be a letter attached with this document that you can add to your application to receive a discount. Please note the cost is $21.00. Please also note that this pricing is subject to Durham Regional Police ONLY so, cost may differ. If you run into any issues please contact our volunteer coordinator, Frankie Cavallari, via the email stated above.
