Duties

As a Volunteer Corporate Coordinator, you are the bridge between the business world and our mission. You
will leverage your professional networking skills to build community partnerships, help secure vital resources, and inspire local companies to engage in meaningful social responsibility initiatives.

Your Impactful Responsibilities include:

● Corporate Ambassador: Act as the primary representative for The Shoebox Project within your local business community to foster support and awareness.
● Strategic Partnerships: Form new relationships and retain existing ones with local corporations through proactive networking and community outreach.
● Employee Engagement: Develop and facilitate opportunities for companies to participate through employee-led gift drives and team-building initiatives.
● Fundraising & Sponsorship: Work closely with the Local Coordinator to secure corporate involvement via monetary sponsorships, in-kind donations, and volunteer support.
● Educational Outreach: Coordinate and lead presentations to educate groups on the correlation between women and homelessness in your region and the impact of our initiative on the women we serve.
● Active Engagement: Attend agreed upon chapter meetings during various times throughout the entire year; actively participate in communications with your Chapter Coordinator by providing timely updates of your outreach and community engagement through the google based tracking sheets provided.
● National Collaboration: Identify and communicate any larger partnership potentials that may benefit the Shoebox Project’s other Chapters with the Executive Director to help align with national needs.

Skills/Experience Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders via email and teleconferencing.. ; Dependability & Trustworthiness ; Friendly & Outgoing - You are open-minded and confident in making direct requests for support and partnership. ; Leadership - Ability to work independently and guide a team with detailed options and steps through your outgoing personality. ; Planning & Organizing - Excellent time management skills with a high degree of computer literacy with access to your own computer/laptop. ; Positive / Cheerful Demeanor ; Public Speaking ; Research ; Self-Motivated / Work Independently ; Team Work ; Knowledge in corporate giving initiatives is highly valued.
Commitment Length Long Term (Minimum of 6 months) ; A minimum commitment of one full drive season.
Minimum Hours 2 / Month
Dates and Times A commitment of 2–5 hours per month from February to September, increasing to a minimum of 2 hours per week during peak campaign months (October to January).
