Duties

We invite you to volunteer with us at this year’s SuperWalk!

SuperWalk is Parkinson’s largest annual fundraiser, raising vital funds for support, advocacy, and research for people living with and impacted by Parkinson’s.

As a SuperWalk Event Day Volunteer, you will work alongside a local Volunteer Event Coordinator and/or Committee. You will play an important part in ensuring a successful event and raising the profile of Parkinson’s in your community.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Event set-up/take-down
  • Registration
  • Greeters
  • Food services
  • Entertainment support   
  • Checkpoint stations
  • Cheering on SuperWalkers!

Time Commitment
The Durham Parkinson Canada SuperWalk is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, with activities taking place between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. The time commitment for this opportunity varies according SuperWalk activities and your availability. Volunteers will be contacted closer to the event to confirm their shift time, role, and event details.

Age Requirement 
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to volunteer without a parent or guardian for this event. If an adult would like to register a youth aged 11 or younger to volunteer with them, please connect with Volunteer Engagement at volunteer@parkinson.ca for assistance.
