Duties

The Teens Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and growth of teen-focused programs and youth outreach initiatives. This role helps create engaging opportunities for youth leadership, participation, and community involvement while ensuring smooth communication and registration support for programs and events.

Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per month
Type: Volunteer / Part-Time Community Support Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate teen and youth-focused programs and activities
  • Support outreach efforts to engage teens and families in the community
  • Assist with registration and onboarding for leadership programs, workshops, and events
  • Communicate with participants, parents, and volunteers as needed
  • Help promote youth initiatives through social media, email, and community partnerships
  • Track participation and provide basic organizational support
  • Collaborate with the Afiwi team to strengthen youth engagement initiatives

Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about youth empowerment and community development
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with teens and families
  • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills
  • Experience working with youth, camps, schools, or community programs is an asset
  • Comfortable using email, online forms, and basic digital tools
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
